Dr. Daofang Li, A.P., DOM, Ph.D.

Dr. Li is a licensed acupuncture physician and a doctor of oriental medicine in Florida since 1992.

Dr. Li graduated from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1969 in China, where he finished 6 years' full-time study, including the traditional Chinese medicine and west medicine. He had worked as a surgeon for 23 years before he came to the United States. Also he practiced as an orthopedic

surgeon for 11 years as well as an oncology surgeon for 12 years.

Dr. Li earned his M.S. in 1983 and Ph.D. in 1987. He was one of the first generation of Ph.D. degree holders which included only 6 doctors in TCM in China. Furthermore, he was designated as one of "The Super Doctors in China" (Who's Who in Medicine) in 1990.

He made presentations at numerous national and international academic conferences. Before coming to U.S., he was a professor and vice director in the Surgical Department at Shanghai University of TCM with experiences of 20 years of teaching and 15 years of research. He specialized in oncology, especially on breast cancer study.

Dr. Li taught and practiced in Florida Institute of TCM from 1992 to 1995 before opening the Chinese American Acupuncture Center in Kissimmee, Florida. He was the supervisor of Alternative Medicine Department at Miami Heart Institute from 1997 to 1998. His work was highly appraised by the hospital. Then he opened the second clinic in 1999.

Currently, he works at Orlando office every Monday, Wednesday and Friday; also works at Kissimmee office on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday morning.

Yueying Xia Yueying Xia, A.P., DOM

Yueying Xia and Dr. Li are partners of these clinics. Dr. Xia is a licensed acupuncturist in Florida and a Doctor of Oriental Medicine.

She and Dr. Li were classmates at Shanghai University of TCM. She was also a M.D. in China and a vice director at Nanjing University of TCM. She specialized in internal medicine and gynecology with 25 years of experiences in China.
She came to the United States in 1994. She was a lecturer at the Orlando Institute of TCM in 1996 and has practiced at Kissimmee clinic since then.
